Anyhow! Here it is.
One thing I really love about living in a house, especially a house with a fireplace or mantel is that I get to make seasonal decoration! I am a fan of picture frames (so much so that in my last house we had 56 frames on one wall in the living room!) and wall art, but honestly, who has the time to change up all the art and photos on the wall every season and holiday! So the fireplace (and the front door) became my only place for seasonal decoration and I am just having so so much fun with that. Right now it's just some very basic banners/garlands. Maybe when they kids are finally gonna leave the decoration alone, then I will start doing some more around the fireplace itself.
We moved into the house right on Thanksgiving weekend so the first holiday we decorated was Christmas and then Valentine's Day. Both times I went with store bought easy to do DIY to do with my preschooler so nothing really exciting to share there. With Spring and Easter round the corner however, I wanted something that is more homey. A bit more me. So I went onto my beloved Pinterest and did some research and found some really cute ideas.
Then I also found this paper strip Easter egg craft idea.
