Last year at around this time of the year, I introduced Ainslie and Charlie to my shop and they quickly became the most favourite design and the #1 top seller of LuvEssential. Even after some other very promising designs were introduced, Ainslie was still at the top. While they still hold the most "favourited design", a new design had out sold them and became LuvEssential's new #1 best seller ... Ladies and Gentlemen, please let me introduce to you, Madison and Skyler! Out of all 32 orders of the month of October, 10 of which were orders of the design of Madison and Skyler's. And as of today, they have just outsold Ainslie by one print! Check out the gallery below to see some of the custom order in Madison and Skyler.
When my shop LuvEssential first opened back in May 2013 (yeah I know at the shop it said I was open in Apr 2012, but it really took me about a year till May 2013 to figure out what I wanna do so ...), I had 4 designs in my shop. Since then I've created many more designs and now there are 18 different Birth announcement designs you can choose from my store. While I am planning to develop more designs in the future and there are a few that has already been done but not actively listed, I am also hoping I am not overwhelming people who shop at my little shop. While I had made this alphabet and number set of print to go with an initial print to make a bundle, it doesn't mean that moms HAVE to purchase the set really. As I've always tell my customers, if you ask, anything is possible with LuvEssential, so, just ask! And so did Mrs. P.
When Mrs. P was looking around to find art work to put into little Charlotte's room, she stumble upon my little shop and felt in love. She sent me a PM (private message) and asked if she can get the alphabet and number set of print to match the announcement she wanted for little Charlotte. Well why not? It turned out pretty cute together didn't it? By the way, love the name Charlotte. It sounds feminine yet grownup, sophisticated yet lush and the meaning: free man, just perfect for a modern little girl. Come visit my shop LuvEssential on Etsy and see if there's some thing for you and your little too. It's been a while since I've done a style post so I though I would do one this week with little miss Emma's print. While I was in school getting my ECE (early childhood education) there was this one class where we debated about how our society has divided boys and girls with colours - blue for boys and pink for girls. Yes I agree that we shouldn't give children such an idea that girls can't like blue and boys can't wear pink from like birth, but! neither do I think there's anything wrong with dressing up your baby girl in a cute tutu and imagine she would became a ballerina one day.
I didn't know if I was having a girl or a boy when I was pregnant (Oh .. we wanted to know, she just wouldn't show) so I was stuck decorating my baby's room in a somewhat neutral colour theme - blue (a light Tiffany kinda blue), yellow with a hint of orange. But had I known that she would be a girl, perhaps her room would have been a lot different. So today, I imagine I was little Emma's mommy, decorating her room in the theme of pink and purple. As I was doing so, I kept thinking of a ballerina theme and somehow, the song "Que Sera Sera" by Doris Day kept running on repeat in my head. When I was just a little girl I asked my mother, what will I be Will I be pretty, will I be rich Here's what she said to me. Que Sera, Sera, Whatever will be, will be The future's not ours, to see Que Sera, Sera What will be, will be. And I just kept picturing myself dancing and twilling with the most gorgeous baby in my arm as I sing the song. Credit: items shown are from Land of Nod.
